Mercedes-Benz - The new E-Class - Features

E-Class: New engine range
The 2016 E-class marks the debut of an all-new four-cylinder diesel engine. It's coupled, like every other engine in the new line-up, to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. The new all-aluminium 2.0-litre diesel packs a single-stage variable turbo. Mercedes claim a suitably spritely 0-62mph time of 7.3sec that might not sound like much for a big luxury saloon. The impressive efficiency is in part thanks due to a low drag coefficient. To put that in prespective, that means the E-class cuts through the air more easily than others. The Mercedes' low-drag nature also helps to deliver, at higher speeds, better refinement.

Masterpiece of Intelligence: Emotional design meets high-tech, whether that be in the form of the MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, the exclusive interior with the 12.3 inch wide-screen displays or the rear lamps with "Stardust effect", which is reminiscent of the glow of a jet engine.
