World premiere: The new BMW M760Li xDrive raises the bar in the sporting luxury sedan segment as the flagship variant of the successfully launched BMW 7 Series model range. The first ever M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol engine generates 441 kW/600 hp* and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h / 62 mph in 3.9 seconds* (fuel consumption combined: 12.6 l/100 km [22.4 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 294 g/km)
The new iPerformance model designation, which will be given to all BMW plug-in hybrid vehicles from July 2016, provides a visible indicator of the transfer of technology from BMW i to the BMW core brand. It will be seen first on the plug-in hybrid variants of the new BMW 7 Series, e.g. the BMW 740e iPerformance. The iPerformance models will benefit from the transfer of technical expertise regarding electric motors, battery cells and electronic control systems. Visible indicators, meanwhile, are a BMW i logo on the front side panel, BMW i-style blue elements in the kidney grille and wheel hubs, and an eDrive logo on the C-pillar. Customers can also make use of the BMW i 360° ELECTRIC range of products and services, including the BMW i Wallbox.
The new BMW M2 takes to the stage with BMW M Performance Parts. A wide variety of components are available for the compact high-performance sports machine which enhance its dynamics and individualise its design.
BMW i presents the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition special-edition model and highlights its success on various fronts. BMW i has achieved the largest market presence of any premium supplier of electric vehicles worldwide and offers the world’s only car with a certified carbon footprint*** in the shape of the BMW i3.

The BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition embodies unbeatable sportiness and futuristic aesthetics. The Protonic Red paintwork underlines the wide and extremely low-slung front. The powerfully shaped surfaces thus create an even more dynamic impression and further highlight the so-called V-shaped black belt that extends from the bonnet across the entire bodywork to the rear. With specific highlights in Frozen Grey metallic on the BMW i typical kidney grille and at the rear as well as 20" light alloy wheels W-spoke 470 in Orbit Grey, the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition catches the eye even when it’s standing still − and offers a clear foretaste of what will happen once it gets going. 

Inside the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition, top-quality workmanship meets elegant sportiness. As soon as you open the door, your gaze is immediately drawn to the door sill finisher emblazoned with Protonic Red Edition lettering. Other eye-catchers include the dark NESO seats with woven red stitching and the headrest with the embossed BMW i8 logo. A strikingly attractive contrast is created by the seat belt. BMW M Initiation

The first-ever BMW M4 has arrived. But why just announce it when you can "initiate" it? With the help of 37 BMW enthusiasts, we welcomed the M4 to the family in a thrilling, one-of-a-kind experience. This is M Initiation.

Under the hood, both the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe are of course fitted with a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine revving to 7,600 rpm and producing an impressive 431 hp between 5,390 rpm and 7,000 rpm and 406 lb-ft of torque from a low 1,800 rpm to 5,390rpm   That torque figure is available across a broad rev range and is an improvement over the outgoing BMW E92 M3 of 40 per cent    

As a result of brand new powerplant, both the BMW M3 and BMW M4 will sprint to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 4.1 seconds when equipped with the optional seven-speed M double clutch transmission      Top speed is limited to 250 km/h but this can be increased to 280 km/h with the optional M driver’s package    

In addition to this increase in power and torque, both new models weigh around 80 kg less than a comparably equipped predecessor model      As a result, the BMW M4 Coupe tips the scales at 1,497 kg while the M3 Sedan stands at 1,520 kg in base specification      These weight savings have been achieved through the extensive use of carbon fiber reinforced plastic as well as a carbon fiber roof and aluminium chassis and body components

BMW i Vision Future Interaction – Concept Car provides an outlook
on the networked cockpit and the user interface of the future.

Vehicles with highly automated driving are an important milestone on the road to Vision Zero, the idea of accident-free individual mobility. This increases the aspirations of drivers for the user friendliness of vehicles, for the presentation of information and for digital networking of the information. Occupants are increasingly also wanting to communicate with the outside world supported by unrestricted quality and in the scope they are normally accustomed to. At the CES 2016, the BMW Group is using the Concept Car BMW i Vision Future Interaction to show what the user interface of the future might look like – including support from high-resolution vehicle displays where the content responds to the situation. In order to make the interaction of the passengers with the vehicle as intuitive as possible, all functions are controlled using touch-sensitive surfaces, gestures and voice.

The fifth generation BMW M3 comes in two model Series. The M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupé or Convertible. For the first time the BMW M3 Series is equipped with a turbocharged six-cylinder engine. BMW is set to enter its anniversary year of 2016 on a powerful note with the world premieres of the all-new BMW M2 and BMW X4 M40i performance models. Joining the two new cars at the stand will be the trailblazing BMW i models and innovative services covering every aspect of electric mobility. BMW ConnectedDrive, meanwhile, is showcasing its latest range of applications and systems, such as Remote Control Parking. The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), is taking place in Detroit from 11 – 24 January.

Be one of the first to have a closer look at the all-new BMW 7 Series. Explore some never-seen-before features.


BMW has introduced its flagship 7-Series sedan, which may be similar in size. BMW followed a similar practice with the interior, which has a more modern feel to it without alienating owners of the current 7 series. Another highlight is the world premiere of BMW's "Remote Control Parking" that allow drivers to maneuver in or out of forward-parking spaces without anyone in car. While the car is carrying out the semi-automated maneuver, the driver watches out for obstacles."

All 7ers will come with a standard two-axle air suspension that automatically adjusts body height, Dynamic Damper Control, while for the first time, it will combine four-wheel steering with four-wheel drive.

The 750i xDrive with a redeveloped 445hp 4.4-liter turbocharged gasoline V8, and the 740i with a 320hp 3.0-liter turbocharged six gasoline – both with 8-speed automatics.

In early 2016, BMW will add the 740e xDrive plug-in hybrid pairing a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged. The new 7-Series will launch with two petrol engines, a 326PS 3.0-liter turbo six in the 740i and 740Li, and a 450PS 4.4-liter turbo V8 in the 750i xDrive and 750Li xDrive, and one diesel, the 265PS 3.0-liter six in the 730d/Ld.
